SSD & NVMe Data Recovery — NAND Flash Specialists

Free Diagnosis WhatsApp

Your SSD has disappeared from the system, shows a firmware error or suffered a power surge?

Solid-state drives fail silently: the device vanishes overnight with no warning. With no moving parts to make noise, the only sign is usually that your computer stops booting.

At RecuperaTusDatos we are specialists in SATA SSD, M.2 NVMe and mSATA recovery. We have dedicated equipment for NAND Flash technology and access to proprietary firmware from the major manufacturers.

Free diagnosis in 4 hours. No recovery, no fee.

Professional SSD, M.2 and NVMe data recovery service. We work with Samsung, Crucial, Kingston, SanDisk, WD, Corsair, Toshiba/Kioxia and more. Specialised equipment for NAND Flash technology and manufacturer firmware access. ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certified. Over 12 years of experience. No recovery, no fee.

Key Facts — SSD & NVMe Recovery

  • Logical failure (firmware, accidental deletion): 250–350 EUR + VAT — Success rate: 85%

Why SSD Recovery Is Different From HDD Recovery

TRIM Command

When you delete a file on an SSD, the operating system sends a TRIM command that tells the drive to erase the underlying NAND cells immediately. Unlike HDDs, where deleted data remains on the platters until overwritten, TRIM can make deleted data permanently unrecoverable. This is why time is critical — contact us immediately after data loss.

Hardware Encryption

Most modern SSDs use hardware-level AES-256 encryption. The encryption key is stored in the controller. If the controller fails, the key can be lost, making data recovery extremely challenging. We use specialised tools to access the controller and retrieve encryption keys when possible.

Wear Levelling & Data Scrambling

SSDs distribute writes across all cells (wear levelling) and scramble data for reliability. This means data is not stored sequentially like on an HDD. Even with chip-off extraction, reassembling the data requires knowledge of the controller's specific algorithms.

Chip-Off Recovery: When the Controller Fails

When an SSD's controller is irreparably damaged, we use the chip-off technique: we physically desolder the NAND Flash memory chips from the PCB using a precision hot-air rework station. Each chip is then read individually using our PC-3000 Flash reader.

The raw data from all chips is then reassembled using the manufacturer's specific data-scrambling algorithm, XOR patterns and page mapping. This process requires deep knowledge of each controller family (Samsung, Phison, Silicon Motion, Marvell, Realtek) and can take several days.

Chip-off is typically used as a last resort when firmware repair and ISP (In-System Programming) methods have failed. It is the most complex and expensive SSD recovery technique but achieves results in cases that would otherwise be unrecoverable.

Frequently Asked Questions — SSD Recovery

Can data be recovered from an SSD after TRIM has run?

It depends. If TRIM has fully executed, the erased cells may be unrecoverable. However, many SSDs delay or batch TRIM operations. If the SSD has failed (not detected, firmware crash), TRIM commands often haven't executed, and recovery is possible. The sooner you contact us, the better your chances.

My SSD is not detected by the computer at all. Is recovery possible?

Yes, this is actually a common and often recoverable scenario. When an SSD is completely undetected, it usually means the controller has failed or the firmware is corrupt. We use PC-3000 SSD to communicate directly with the controller at firmware level, bypassing the normal interface. If the controller is dead, we can use chip-off or ISP to read the NAND chips directly.

How much does SSD data recovery cost?

Prices start from 250 EUR + VAT. Logical failures (firmware repair, accidental deletion) range from 250–350 EUR. Physical failures requiring chip-off or advanced controller work range from 400–900 EUR. The exact price depends on the SSD model, controller type and severity of damage. Diagnosis is always free.
